這封男主角在片中反覆口述的書信，出自於Pedro Costa 06年電影 ‘Colossal Youth’，算是2011年看過「最新鮮」的電影。
假如存在一種 Pedro Costa 式電影美學，這美學的暫時代表作無疑就是 ‘Colossal Youth’。
電影貫徹他一向的主題 ﹣ 電影（劇情片）／真實，國家發展／鄉愁，當下／回憶 ﹣ 而Pedro Costa 找到了一個空間去說這些主題，這空間是屬於他的，沒有第二個人。最讓我驚喜的是，Costa 使用文字的方式，主角反覆諗著的信，像是詩歌（與日常用語太不同），同時又像一位老人的喃喃自語，與電影的整個故事與背景融合得自然，一段對白或獨白就該如此。
